Fall has arrived

I suppose it had to happen eventually. Yes, after 80 days of sunshine, the rain has returned to Western Washington.  While I am happy in some ways to pull out my sweaters, boots and my new warm, fuzzy TOMS, I will miss the sunshine.  Mornings are already hard enough for me trying to get out of bed in the dark and made even tougher with the dark, grey clouds at 8 am when it's time to scoot out the door for the day.

I did manage (finally) to put up the wind chime my mom gave me.  There is a large craft show outside of Wichita, KS each fall and last year my mom had bought this super cute coffee pot wind chime.  My dad hates it.  So my mom gave it to me last Christmas and yes, it took my 10 months to go outside and hang it on the hook outside my kitchen window.  Sheesh!

I am happy for the rain that has come to clean the air and water my sad, sad yard.  Though soccer in the rain isn't all that great either, God has been very gracious and held off the rain for last Friday's walkathon at school and the soccer game on Saturday afternoon.  Today, though, the street is covered with branches, pine needles and debris from last nights little wind storm, but the sun is shining and peaking through those pesky clouds.  Time for a little jewelry photo shoot.

I thought I would post about my favorite shoes. The catch: these shoes are for my boys and I wish I could have a pair or two myself. See Kai Run designs the cutest shoes for little ones and I'm in love. Back in June, I bought a few pairs for Aaron for the next couple of sizes and now the fall designs are out and I'm trying to justify possibly purchasing a couple more for Aaron too. Of course, one of the best things about having another baby is the fact that I can maybe get some of the Smaller shoes this time for the little one.

Yes, I do have a few pairs of them as well :) I have almost every size except for a size 9. Andy and Aaron both had the same blue sandals, but the size 9 did not survive for Aaron to have a turn. It was fun to pull out all the shoes out of the boxes and line them up.

In preparation of our camping trip to the beach, I went in search of water shoes today.

Now, I just have to finish packing for everyone and everything and we will be ready for some fun at the beach camping with great friends.

Day 164

Today was the first ever See Kai Run warehouse sale. It was absolutely nuts, crazy, insane and fabulous. A local mom founded the shoe company that specializes in infant and toddler shoes. I have purchased a few pairs for the boys and was thrilled they were having a warehouse sale. I sent out an email to most of my friends informing them of the sale and a few of us carpooled up to Woodinville. We had a great time to hang out without our kiddos and find some great shoes for the little ones in our lives. Maybe next time See Kai Run will have the bigger kid shoes, Eleven, in their sale.

My new shoes arrived today!! I had gone out shopping last week and found these super cute, bright yellow flats at Aldo at Bellevue Square. Unfortunately, they didn't have my size in the right color I wanted, so I had to order them. This was one of my bright spots in my otherwise crazy, nutty, creamy day.
