Day 323

One of my new toys I got while shopping at Hobby Lobby in Tulsa was a beading lap tray. I thought this would be great to have another way to work on my jewelry and can transport this to various rooms around the house or take it with me on a trip. I am working on a new necklace using more fabulous lucite beads I recently purchased at The Beadin Path.

Day 321

This was our last day in Oklahoma with us flying home this evening. There wasn't anything really exciting about my day, but I noticed outside our plane window that the plane to San Diego was about ready to leave the gate. San Diego sounds a lot warmer than Seattle, but I'm ready to be home whether rain or shine.

Day 316

Today we are off to Tulsa, Oklahoma to see my family and attend my brother's wedding this coming Saturday. Since Aaron is now two years old, I thought we could possibly take one trip without the stroller. It worked for the most part, but Aaron walks at his own sweet pace which was fine since we had a three hour layover in Salt Lake City. He did eventually give out and Mike offered to give him a ride on the suitcase. It was absolutely funny to watch the reaction of other travelers seeing my son ride atop the carry on. It did get us to the gate a lot faster.

Day 251

The picture of the day definitely fits into the random things we stumble upon in life category. We spent our last morning of vacation playing in the pool before we needed to pack up and start the drive to the airport. One of our stops along the way was the Harley-Davidson dealership of Anaheim/Fullerton. I needed to use the restroom before we continued on our way to LAX and what to my complete surprise was the motorcycle faucet. It was just longing to be the picture of the day.

Day 135

This morning I got a phone call from my husband asking what our plans were for the weekend. This weekend was wide open with possibilities and one of those choices was going camping on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. The weather looks promising with sunny skies, so why not. We hurriedly packed the car, the boys and the dog and took off for a weekend of family fun.

For those who are not familiar with Washington state, going to the San Juan Islands takes a bit of time and knowledge of the ferry schedule. Luckily, Mike went online to find out that we need to catch the 6:30 boat or wait 3 hours for the next one. We made the ferry and settled in for a bit of a boat ride. The boys were troopers about the long car ride and were rewarded with some time to run around the ferry. I believe this was Aaron's first ferry boat ride as well. They really enjoyed "sailing" as Andy put it and I think the photo proves it.

Day 105

We made it back to Sammamish about 11 pm last night minus our luggage. It was definitely an interesting travel day, but KUDOS to Alaska Airlines. They delivered our luggage and car seats about 3 pm this afternoon and the sight on my front porch was never more welcoming than ever.

Day 104

Today we are traveling back home to Washington. I took this picture about 7 am as the sun was rising. We have 320 miles to drive and then about 2500 in a plane. It's going to be a long day traveling.
